About Us:
The Vancouver Fruit Tree Project is a registered charity, BN#866075054RR0001
We are a small group of unpaid volunteers that meets monthly. There is a large volunteer base of fruit tree pick volunteers and a dedicated number of fruit tree owners. Some volunteers attend meetings, and some volunteers participate outside of meetings. During the harvest season – June to November- there is a part time Coordinator.
Meetings in 2011 are scheduled for the first Wednesday of the month at Britannia Community Centre in East Vancouver and we always have snacks. It’s a good way to meet other people involved in the project and in local food security projects.

Hello,
I was just wondering what the minimum age to volunteer for fruit picking is, how to volunteer, and when volunteers will next be needed.
Thank you for your time,

Hi!
I run a non-profit ecological restoration program in central North Carolina and we’re working on building a program here similar in scope to the Vancouver Fruit Tree Project. I’d love any advice that you can give me in developing our own program. Any do’s/dont’s advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
